Understand FLOOR Function in Excel with Example

FLOOR

It is an enhance version of ROUND function but doesn’t mind decimal places in Excel. Floor function will round a number down side to its nearest or closest multiple of significance. Consider below example where we will apply Floor formula and try to round values by 100 and 10 respectively.

Syntax

=FLOOR(number, significance)

Number: refers to any cell value that you wold like to round.
Significance: refers to the value upto you want your round in place
